You what? The piped-in "goal music" to simulate atmosphere at Selhurst Park is the best terrace pop anthems we can offer? A scandalous inclusion made worse by the omission of Bristol Rovers belting out "Goodnight Irene".

I'll be honest, I've got no idea what's going on at Villa Park at the minute. Good place to hang around if you want a job though?

Whatever is sang throughout all grounds up and down the country, you can bet your house on one thing, any home game at Old Toilet will always here the home fans singing about scousers/Lfc, they are completely obsessed with lfc.

Ezy Rider/Brummie Mike - I think we can all agree there isn't too much to shout about in the Midlands at the moment. Pride of the Midlands is currently a tallest dwarf contest.

@jdquench. You obviously didn't read earlier posts and once again another Man U fan trying to rewrite history. An MEN article once stated that a group of performers ONCE sang the song following the much air disaster and they were practicing for their show. ONCE!!!!! Utd never used the song and no evidence has ever been supplied to even prove the story was correct. It was also the version from carousel which is completely different to the version sung by the Kop.

@ezy-rider no there's not much spine tingling going on at the mo but the club has been decimated and the fan base alienated by the current crop of owners. Give us new owners and a new manager and the place will be rocking again soon. Even Sir Alex said that Stans at it's finest is a tough place to go. Saying that is there much spine tingling or any kind of tingling going on down vile park?

brummiemike - not sure there's much spine-tingling going on at the sty at the moment. There's more people in So Solid Crew than St Andrews these days

Although it can hardly be described as a "terrace pop anthem", I heard "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC blasting out of the Vicente Calderon PA system as Atletico Madrid took to the field last night, with full participation from the crowd. Splendid stuff.

The earliest reported singing of "You'll Never Walk Alone" was at Old Trafford in the weeks and months following the Munich air disaster; apparently a group of local housewives who attended every United home game started singing it to boost the morale of the club and supporters during those dark days. Then in true Scouse style, it was stolen a few years later by Liverpool...

e made his power play to try and get Sheikhy to raise his wages or trade him to PSG. PSG were probably not interested and he is stuck with no cake and no vacation. @Jay_D> Surely you jest about FFP being real, right? All Platini is doing is making billionaries pay measly fines, so he and his cronies can get rich. If a fool can pay 50 mil for David Luiz, he will happily pay some fine to UEFA. FFP has failed as for it to succeed UEFA had to take it...
