Christoph Dugarry is the best player I personally have ever seen in a Blues shirt (I'm too young to have seen Trevor Francis play). He really saved out bacon that year and I still can't believe that Brucey managed to convince him to come to Stans. His performance in the win over Southampton that year was simply sublime. It's just a crying shame that his second season with us just fizzled out into disappointment.

@sim2kuk, I remember the soccer Saturday 'experts' proclaim the Saints had no chance of survival if they we going to rely on the Latvian Micky Owen.. If memory serves me right, he grabs a bucket load in run in..

Seem to remember the mercurial Charles n'zogbia being fairly pivotal in Wigan's survival a couple of years ago...

What about the useless bollo*k that is Charlie (M)Adam. A threat to good football, and ankles evetywhere....how did he not make the list. He's kept the terraces and the emergency wards packed this season...

Last I checked Sunderland were only 2 points off rock bottom so how exactly can Wickham be a relegation hero when his team are far from safe? Or has the season been abandoned? Are Liverpool are finally champions!?

I always thought that if Danny Murphy had had Steven Gerrard's physique, he'd have been an England regular for years. Instead, he was a very gifted and intelligent footballer trapped in the body of a road sweeper...

e made his power play to try and get Sheikhy to raise his wages or trade him to PSG. PSG were probably not interested and he is stuck with no cake and no vacation. @Jay_D> Surely you jest about FFP being real, right? All Platini is doing is making billionaries pay measly fines, so he and his cronies can get rich. If a fool can pay 50 mil for David Luiz, he will happily pay some fine to UEFA. FFP has failed as for it to succeed UEFA had to take it...
