I'd like to submit Jared Borgetti's inch-perfect, looping header against Italy from Japorea 2002 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mHNTnJDLfw

You've picked the wrong one Storey "Reid's Cross Grey" is the superior diving header, because it travels so fast, near post, 2 feet off the ground, Heady Days.

I had just logged in to mention Basile Boli's header for the Olympique de Marseille against their arch-rival PSG, following an amazing series of passes and juggling moves... Only to see that varenne beat me to it. Nevertheless, here's the link (do enjoy JP Durand's juggling turn and pass): http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=p7qGEnxcWms

Daniel Storey, I am sorry to break the news but you missed the most unbelievable diving header goal ever, the greatest in so many dimensions. Let me give you a few hints: - the decisive goal in a game that decided the league title: CHECK - goal scored against arch-rivals at the peak of that domestic rivalry: CHECK - the goalscorer (a defender that hardly ever scored) had scored the winning goal in the champions league final three days earlier¿ which goes to explain his state of mind - utter confidence and boldness - at the time of attacking that ball: CHECK - the contact with the ball taking place on the 18-yard line: CHECK - the diving header concluded an incredible team move: CHECK - the goalkeeper was top quality and had a good go at saving it: CHECK - ¿ but the ball went in via the underside of the bar: CHECK - and it was a bullet header: CHECK You don't believe that could be true? Well look up "BOLI - against psg 1993" on the youtube. And pay your respect to the uniqueness of that moment¿

No Nicola Berti v England at Italia 90?? The best ever was Van Basten v the C.I.S at Euro 92 but it was wrongly ruled out for offside

What about Peter Osgood v Leeds, 1970 FA Cup Final replay!? Great diving header from Charlie Cooke cross. Not only did he manage to score the goal, but avoided being kicked into the air for a few seconds, a rarity in that match. Oh I miss the old days!

Keith Houchen's header should be number one. In any list. Ever.
