Andre Villas-Boas: Could have a fully fit squad available to him for the busy fe

Influential winger Bale has sat out Spurs' last two Premier League fixtures with a hamstring injury, but he is due to resume training this week.

Dawson has also missed meetings with Everton and Swansea with a similar complaint, but he too is close to linking back up with the first-team fold.

Should both men come back into contention against Stoke, and with Scott Parker and Benoit Assou-Ekotto having overcome long-term injuries, Villas-Boas could find himself in the enviable position of having a fully fit squad from which to select for the busy festive period.

After seeing Spurs claim a 1-0 victory over Swansea City on Sunday, Villas-Boas said: "Michael is returning next week, Bale next week. Benoit is not far off.

"Scott is an important player. The injuries we have had, now it is a major, major bonus for us.

"Competition obviously increases for players but it is going to be the first time we have had these players available, which is going to be an extremely important thing for us."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.

afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!

hat is arguably the least inspiring England I have ever seen. There is not a single name in that list that makes me think I might actually want to watch this team. Not a one.
