Wesley Sneijder: Looks set to leave Inter Milan in January

Both Manchester United and Tottenham are rumoured to have shown interest in signing the Dutch international, who has been at the Nerazzurri since 2009.

Inter coach Andrea Stramaccioni has recently indicated that he has left the door open for Sneijder to return to the side, but it seems that the situation has become untenable.

The midfielder has not played for the club since September amidst a contract issue that looks set to end his spell in Milan. Now Sneijder has confirmed that he expects to leave.

"Clearly it's better for everyone if I leave in January," Sneijder told De Telegraaf.

"If that doesn't happen, then I will stay.

"I have a contract until the end of June 2015 with Inter."

Sneijder has ninety caps for the Netherlands, and was named in the Team of the Tournament at both Euro 2008 and World Cup 2010.

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
