The 22-year-old attacking midfielder, who recently joined Rayo on a season-long loan from Premier League club Tottenham, was replaced after just five minutes of Friday night's 2-1 home defeat to Levante after suffering the injury and subsequent tests have revealed the extent of the problem.

According to a Rayo statement, Falque could be out for between "six to eight weeks", ruling him out of a tough-looking run of fixtures that sees them face Malaga, Barcelona, Sevilla, Valencia and Real Sociedad in their next five matches.
