The winger joined Spurs from FC Twente in a £7 million deal last summer but has made only seven Premier League starts since his arrival at White Hart Lane.

Chadli's representative, Daniel Evrard, claims the 24-year-old has not received enough game-time at Tottenham and is often played out of position.

With the 2014 World Cup only five months away, Evrard admits Chadli, who has won 18 caps for Belgium, may be forced to look elsewhere for regular football.

"His situation is not easy at Tottenham at the moment. The World Cup is arriving so it's a problem," Evrard told the London Evening Standard.

"For him to play at the World Cup it's important so why not a loan? We haven't spoken to Tottenham yet but I know there are clubs interested in him.

"There are a lot of players in the same situation who are not in the team and they want to play in the World Cup so there is a market for a lot of clubs.

"It's important for him not to take any risks by going to a country he doesn't know well."

Despite struggling to stake a claim in North London, Chadli has remained a mainstay in the star-studded Belgium midfielder but coach Marc Wilmots will undoubtedly be concerned by his lack of football.

Chadli did suffer a hamstring injury shortly after his switch to Tottenham but has only started once since Tim Sherwood replaced former manager Andre Villas-Boas in December.

"Nacer had to play in a role which doesn't suit him," Evrard added. "They wanted him to play on the left wing and he is not exactly a winger - he prefers to play through the middle.

"It's very difficult for him because we've not seen the best of him at Tottenham. He has big potential so he is a little bit frustrated."

However, with Lewis Holtby and Erik Lamela also reported to be seeking moves away from White Hart Lane, and Jermain Defore already confirming his switch to Toronto, it remains to be seen whether Sherwood will allow him to leave in this transfer window.

ood grief. Someone guessed that the form English player at the moment might be in his national side with some other players? And that's espionage? Now if they discovered that Emile Heskey was going to be in the starting line up.... at right back.... THAT would be espionage. Give it a rest Roy.
