Bernard was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League last summer, when the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur were among a host of clubs reportedly keen on securing his services.

He eventually joined Shakhtar but has found his first season in Ukraine hard, and not just because of the country's political crisis.

Constant squad rotation has made it tough for the 21-year-old to impress on the pitch, and he concedes that it has been frustrating not to play as regularly as he would like.

Speaking to Globo Esporte, Bernard said: "I can't talk about what's going on in Ukraine as I was told not to do so, but I have gone through everything there and so did my parents, as they were with me. It's complicated.

"As for the future, I can't say anything. There is a large turnover of players that pleases no-one in the squad.

"I was used to playing on Wednesdays and Sundays here [in Brazil] while at Shakhtar I have played only 25 games so far.

"It's hard and complicated to be in a country where I barely play, I hope that this will change.

"I leave my future after the World Cup in God's hands."

ven if United were to sign CR7 & Messi to play upfront, the fact remains Fletcher and Cleverly are playing in midfield. That's where the problem is. Fletcher is too slow with an awful pass, while Cleverly is simply rubbish
