The 33-year-old is available as a free agent after being released at the end of his Inter contract, and Tottenham Hotspur have been among the clubs heavily linked with a move for the Argentine.

After two years at Real Madrid, Cambiasso moved to the San Siro in 2003, where he made over 400 appearances and established himself as an Argentina regular in the process.

Cambiasso lifted the Champions League trophy in 2010 and helped the Nerazurri to five Serie A titles during his time in Milan, but he was not offered a new deal to stay beyond this summer, despite making 32 league appearances for Walter Mazzarri’s side last season.

"My career for the time being is still in Europe," he told fcinternews.it.

"I have several proposals from big clubs but as a sign of respect for them I will not reveal the negotiations that my father and my brother are undertaking."

Cambiasso has also been linked with a return to his homeland to rejoin River Plate – the team he spent the 2001/02 season at – but he insists that will not be the case.

"My future is very far from Argentina," he said.

I

expect Pulis to have a nice Christmas dinner with his family- probably all sitting around the table wearing Christmas themed baseball caps, before he gets the call. Realistically he could end up at any number of clubs, it'll be interesting to see which club folds first.

s a Liverpool fan, I personally hate Palace. My pick would probably be Arsenal, which is funny because it seems the vast majority of their own fans don't even like them right now.
