ADO Den Haag will continue to monitor Fulham youngster Danny Hoesen as he completes the season on loan at Fortuna Sittard.

The Eredivisie side reportedly tried to sign the 21-year-old striker during last month's transfer window but were unsuccessful due to his loan deal at Dutch second-tier side Sittard.

However, a summer move could be on the cards after Den Haag chief Paul Beyer Bergen revealed the club will continue to watch the young Dutchman for the remainder of the campaign.

He told Voetbal International: "We'll keep following him for the rest of the season."

Hoesen joined Fulham from Sittard as a teenager in 2009 but is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Cottagers, having also spent time on loan at Finnish side HJK Helsinki.

Den Haag are targeting the youngster as a replacement for striking ace Wesley Verhoek, who departed the club for FC Twente last month after eight years at the Kyocera Stadion.
