Burnley have allowed winger Keith Treacy to extend his loan spell at npower League One promotion hopefuls Sheffield Wednesday.

Treacy's spell with the Owls was due to expire after their win over Carlisle last weekend, but he will now stay at Hillsborough until the end of the season.

The Republic of Ireland international has made five substitute appearances for Dave Jones' side.

Wednesday are now just a point behind second-placed neighbours Sheffield United with two games to go in the race for the second automatic promotion place.
