Jean Tigana: Moving on

Shanghai Shenhua have confirmed they have terminated the contract of coach Jean Tigana.

Speculation has been rife over Tigana's position for several weeks and confirmation he had left came via a statement on the club's official website.

Former DR Congo boss Jean-Florent Ikwange Ibenge has taken over on a caretaker basis while former Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka and one-time England goalkeeper Ian Walker are part of a five-man coaching team.

Tigana took over in December but leaves with the club 10th in the 16-team league.
