Gary McSheffrey: Wants to stay at Covent
Coventry striker Gary McSheffrey insists he has no plans to leave and wants to help the club win promotion back to the Championship.
The Sky Blues' relegation to League One has led to speculation that several key players could be on the move from the Ricoh Arena over the summer.
However, the Coventry-born McSheffrey does not intend to be part of an exodus and believes the club have a chance of an immediate return to the second tier.
"Of course I see my future here," the 29-year-old told the club's official website. "I signed a new contract back in November and this is where I want to be. I want to be part of the team which gets this club back.
"It isn't ideal at this stage of my career that we are going into the league we are in, but that is the situation and we have to turn it around.
"If we get a few more players in to help us out and keep most of the squad here then we will have a more than decent chance of coming back up."
And manager Andy Thorn insists the players he has already targeted want to join Coventry, adding: "The players that I want at this club want to come here, which is good and important. Of course we are under a transfer embargo at the minute but as soon as we come out of that we can restructure and get bodies in."
