James Coppinger: Has been linked with Ip

Doncaster manager Dean Saunders admits James Coppinger could head a summer exodus from the Keepmoat Stadium.

Coppinger is one of Rovers' longest serving players having made 336 appearances in all competitions since joining from Exeter in 2004.

The 31-year-old is understood to be a transfer target for Ipswich, who handed Doncaster a 3-2 defeat in their last game before dropping down to npower League One next term, and Saunders believes he is not his only player with potential suitors.

"He's got two years left (on his contract)," said the former Wrexham boss. "I would imagine some clubs will come in for him. I'd imagine some clubs will come in for George (Friend), Tommy Spurr - lots of them.

"And some of the ones out of contract that I'd like to keep, we've let their contracts run out so if they go it's our fault. They're going to have other options.

"I'll have to just keep juggling. There's some that I really don't want to go, but if a Championship club comes in and offers them more money I can't really stop them."
