Gilmartin: Leaves Hornets

Watford goalkeeper Rene Gilmartin heads a list of four players released while contract talks with Martin Taylor and Stephen McGinn are ongoing.

Gilmartin has made a total of seven starts for the Hornets since joining two years ago and enjoyed two loan spells this season with Yeovil and Crawley.

With his contract set to expire this summer, Gilmartin is deemed surplus to requirements at Vicarage Road along with defender Tom James, midfielder Chez Isaac and winger Michael Bryan.

Defender Taylor and midfielder McGinn, fit again after a long-term knee injury, also see their current deals expire next month but are in talks with the Championship club over fresh terms.
