Ross McCormack: Considering a new contra

Ross McCormack: Considering a new contra

Neil Warnock expects Leeds striker Ross McCormack to make a decision on a new contract within the next fortnight and is also awaiting an answer from Aidy White.

McCormack has a further season to run on his current deal at Elland Road, but the club's leading scorer has been offered terms to stay.

Robert Snodgrass has also been offered an extension, although Adam Clayton has been put on the transfer list after rejecting a new contract.

When asked about McCormack, Leeds manager Warnock said: "We'll have to cross that bridge when we come to it. I think we've offered good, increased contracts to a number of players and it's down to them.

"We've already made a statement that [Robert] Snodgrass is the best contract that the club has made for many years.

"They're not all financially at that kind of level, but we've offered Ross what we feel is a good wage, whether it's acceptable to Ross I think we'll know in the next couple of weeks."

Academy product White is also considering a new deal as he is out of contract this summer and Warnock is hoping to secure his future before the end of the month.

Warnock added: "Same with Aidy. I spoke to Aidy's representative [on Wednesday] so I would imagine I'll have more idea about Aidy as well. I'm sure they're talking to other clubs, which they're entitled to do aren't they?

"We're writing to Ross as we speak, Snods has already had his and then with Adam, I think the offer from the club was realistic."
