Peterborough have rejected an undisclosed offer from npower League Two club Rotherham for defender Mark Little.

Millers boss Steve Evans made his first signing for the South Yorkshire club on Thursday as he secured striker Daniel Nardiello on a two-year deal.

But with his offer for Little turned down by the Posh, Evans told Rotherham's official website: "Peterborough United turned down our offer after Barry Fry spoke to the manager Darren Ferguson.

"I will now speak with the chairman Tony Stewart and should he wish to increase the offer we have made, then we will do so in a private and confidential manner with Peterborough United."
