Alberto Gilardino: Set to stay at Genoa

Reports in Italy claim French side Monaco have offered Genoa

eight million euros for the 29-year-old.

However, Gilardino's agent Giuseppe Bozzo has denied those rumours.

"There are no negotiations in place regarding Gilardino," Bozzo said to www.tuttomercatoweb.com. "The club has assured us that he will remain at Genoa."

Gilardino, a World Cup winner with Italy in 2006, joined Genoa in January from Fiorentina.

The former Milan player is under contract with the Grifoni until June 2016.
