Frederic Kanoute: Leaves Sevilla

Sevilla striker Frederic Kanoute has joined Chinese side Beijing Guoan on a two-year deal, the Primera Division club have announced.

The former Mali forward spent seven seasons with Sevilla after joining in 2005 from English Premier League side Tottenham.

The 34-year-old made more than 200 appearances for the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan club and helped propel them to two UEFA Cups.

The club paid tribute to Kanoute, who scored 136 goals in 290 games, describing him as a "legendary player".
