Sofiane Feghouli: Linked with a move awa

Valencia midfielder Sofiane Feghouli wants to stay at Valencia "for as long as possible" after the playmaker was linked with a move away from the Mestalla.

Some of Europe's top clubs are reportedly interested in the Algerian international, who has impressed for the Primera Division club this season.

Feghouli still has over two years to run on his current contract, but Valencia are keen to secure the 22-year-old to a longer deal to warn off interested parties.

"I understand that people want to know if I will renew my contract or not," he told reporters.

"The thing I do best is play football and off the field I leave things to my representatives, whom I trust. I'm very happy here and want to play for this team for as long as possible."

"I do not know what they are talking about with the club, but the club wants me here and I want to stay here," he said.

"I see no reason not to reach an agreement and I hope that we understand one another.

"The club has not told me that they want to sell me and I wouldn't want to leave, the market is closed and I cannot see my future outside of Valencia.

"Here we play in the Champions League every year, it is one of the best clubs in the world, the staff, team-mates and fans like me and I am really enjoying myself."
