Mark Hughes: Odds-on to be out by Monday

Sky Bet make Mark Hughes 5/6 to have left QPR by Monday morning after the Hoops' woeful start to the season hit a new low as they lost 3-1 at home to Southampton.

The 49-year-old headed into the weekend as the 6/4 joint favourite to be the first Premier League manager to go along with Saints boss Nigel Adkins, who has been pushed out to 12/1 following a first away league win this season.

A 12-match winless run has seen the Hoops cut from their pre-season price of 4/1 to 8/11 for relegation, while Harry Redknapp is rated as Hughes' most likely successor with QPR the1/4 favourites to be his next club.

Sky Bet Football Trader Chris Spicer said: "We expect the board to act with QPR slipping deeper into relegation trouble after a hopeless start to the campaign.

"Hughes is clearly not getting the best out of his expensively-assembled squad and Redknapp looks the perfect candidate for the job given the way he has turned around under-performing sides previously, with Tottenham the perfect example."
