Mitchell Weiser: Loan move

Bayern Munich have sent teenage striker Mitchell Weiser on loan to Kaiserslautern until the end of the season, just six months after signing him from Cologne.

Weiser, 18, has appeared only once for Bayern this season - in a cup tie against second-tier Kaiserslautern - and has made nine appearances for the reserves, scoring twice.

"We are delighted that we have been able to sign such a talented young player in Mitchell Weiser," said Kaiserslautern chairman Stefan Kuntz.

Weiser found himself behind Mario Mandzukic and Claudio Pizarro in the Bayern pecking order, and with Mario Gomez now back to full fitness after injury, the chances of him being involved had been further reduced.
