Michael Keane: On loan at Leicester

Leicester manager Nigel Pearson plans to hold talks with Manchester United about extending Michael Keane's loan spell at the King Power Stadium.

Keane joined the Foxes at the start of November and the npower Championship promotion-chasers recently prolonged his stay in the Midlands until the end of January.

Pearson would like to keep the 19-year-old centre-back beyond this month.

"That is something we will have to discuss with United at some point," Pearson told the media in his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's trip to Bristol City.

"We are very pleased to have him and he has done well so far. He has a very bright future in the game, but it is one step at a time."
