Gillett is believed to have signed a new

It has been reported that href=http://www.sportinglife.com/football/championship/nottingham-forest>Nottingham Forest midfielder Simon Gillett has signed a new deal at the City Ground.

Gillett, who joined the club last summer on a free transfer from Doncaster, has impressed during his first few months for Forest.

The 27-year-old has become a regular in the side and has made 25 appearances in all competitions this term.

Gillett initially signed a one-year deal at Forest, and a number of clubs were thought to be keeping tabs on his situation, which has led Forest to move quickly in order to tie down Gillett to a new deal to keep him at the club until 2014.
