Riether could make a permanent move to F

Fulham are keeping one eye on next season's Premier League campaign by looking at potential signings.

On-loan defender Sascha Riether could become a permanent member of the squad this summer.

The 29-year-old has played 21 times for Fulham in the Premier League since signing from relegated Cologne last year.

The German has been an ever present at Craven Cottage, leading to Stephen Kelly the former first choice right-back being dispatched to Reading.

Fulham manager Martin Jol has expressed his delight with his signing and said: "Sascha Riether has done a great job for us. He's enthusiastic, mobile and aggressive."

"I only wanted him on loan because you never know how they'll do."

Riether, twice capped by Germany, has maintained consistent form for the Londoners this season, leading to Jol hinting that a summer move could be on the table.

Jol added: "If he carries on like this we will make our mind up and try to extend it or buy him."
