Claros: Staying until end of the season

The Clydesdale Bank Premier league outfit have struck a deal with the Honduras international's parent club Motagua to extend his stay in Leith until May.

Claros, 27, has turned out 37 times for the Easter Road side since joining a year ago and is delighted to be staying at Hibs.

Claros told HIbernian's website: "I'm very happy to be staying with Hibs. I've enjoyed my time at the club and believe I've improved as a player.

"My family also feel settled here in Edinburgh and that was a very important factor for me.

"Now the loan deal has been sorted I'm looking forward to helping Hibs enjoy a strong finish to the season."

Manager Pat Fenlon has been busy this month after securing extensions to similar loan arrangements with striker Leigh Griffiths and Ryan McGivern, while also landing former Scotland cap Scott Robertson from Blackpool.

Fenlon said: "It was always our intention to keep all our loan players at the club, so the fact Jorge is staying is a real positive.

"We've managed to keep Jorge, Leigh and Ryan while also adding Scott - that's four international players, so it has been a productive transfer window."
