Nils Petersen: Keen to stay at Bremen

Werder Bremen striker Nils Petersen says he has no interest in returning to Bayern Munich when his loan spell from the record Bundesliga champions ends in the summer.

Petersen was instrumental in Bremen's 2-0 win over Hannover last Friday night, taking his tally to nine goals for the season with a brace.

Last year, he netted just twice in only nine appearances for Bayern and he hopes he does not have to go back to Bavaria to sit on the bench again next season.

"I would love to stay in Bremen, for sure," he told Radio Bremen.

"It would be hard for me to leave Bremen. I just have to wait and see what Bayern plan, but there won't be any decision made before March or April."

Petersen earned a move to Bayern in 2011 after scoring 25 goals in the 2.Bundesliga for Energie Cottbus.

He struggled to hold down a regular berth in the Bayern side, however, appearing fleetingly and playing a further three games for Bayern's reserve team, for whom he also scored twice.
