Marko Arnautovic: Not on the move

Werder Bremen striker Marko Arnautovic has turned down a lucrative offer from Dynamo Kiev, according to his brother and agent, Danijel Arnautovic.

With the transfer window in Ukraine still open, Dynamo had made the Austrian striker an offer to lure him away from the Bundesliga this winter, but Arnautovic prefers to stay where he is.

"He was offered a great deal of money, but Marko is not the type to only look at the money," said Danijel Arnautovic to the Kreiszeitung Syke.

"He would like to give Werder the chance to discuss his future with him because Werder always stuck with him through difficult times.

"We have officially turned Kiev down."

Arnautovic is contracted to the northern Germany club until 2014 and the club's new director of sport, Thomas Eichin, is keen to extend that deal.

"We will be talking to him, but we are not under any pressure," Eichin said. "It's not like his contract expires next Wednesday."
