Kris Boyd: Arrived at Portland in Januar

Kris Boyd is set to make a return to former club Kilmarnock in a deal until the end of the season.

The 29-year-old striker has thrashed out personal terms with the Rugby Park outfit and will put pen to paper after undergoing a medical.

The ex-Rangers forward, who is the Clydesdale Bank Premier League's record goal scorer, is a free agent following his release from Portland Timbers in the United States.

"Personal terms have been agreed and we don't expect the medical to throw up any problems," chairman Michael Johnston told BBC Scotland.

Boyd is not expected to be registered in time for tomorrow's visit of Aberdeen.
