Neymar: Wanted by Barcelona

Barcelona vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu says his club will be ready to sign Neymar as and when the Brazil striker decides he wants to leave Santos.

The 21-year-old has long been one of the game's hottest properties and many have considered either Barcelona or Real Madrid to be his next stop.

He is under contract with Santos until the summer of 2014, but according to Bartomeu, the Catalan club are ready to do business.

Speaking to AS, he said: "He's a player wanted by the technical team. When he says he wants to leave Santos, the club will be there to try and sign him.

"He is wanted by half of the world."

Neymar has scored 17 goals in 28 appearances for his country as well as in excess of 100 for Santos.
