Gary Hooper: Wanted by Hull

Celtic have rejected a bid from Hull City for striker Gary Hooper, according to reports on Wednesday evening.

It was revealed earlier on Wednesday that newly promoted Hull had made a move for Hooper and lodged an offer for the former Scunthorpe United striker.

However, with the bid believed to be just over £4million, Celtic have reacted quickly by turning down the offer.

Hooper has just one year left on his contract at Celtic Park, and is attracting a great deal of interest from his native England.

Norwich City, who tried to buy him in January, along with, Sunderland, Southampton and Reading are also being linked with the 25-year-old forward.

Meanwhile, it was also reported that Hull had a third bid rejected by Leicester for goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.
