Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert has defended his decision to send striker Darren Bent out on loan to Brighton.
Tranmere chairman Mark Palios claims to have turned down the chance to sign Ched Evans.
Maicon's agent Roberto Calenda says that the former Inter Milan defender would like to remain at Manchester City next season.
The Brazilian started 7 games for City last term and Calenda says that he would like to make an impression at City.
Speaking to Radio Sportiva, Calenda said: "He has had an unfortunate season, it can happen.
"Now he wants to prove his worth in a Manchester City jersey and achieve the World Cup's call with Brazil."
Maicon had been linked with Italian side Roma, but Calenda says that it unlikely to happen.
He added: "Interest from Roma? Italian football is going through a bad time economically so it is difficult to take players with this kind of salary."
City are expected to return to pre-season training next week.
