Mikel Arteta feels Arsenal have the financial strength to be able to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
Former Newcastle striker Michael Chopra is keen to return to the Indian Super League, which will kick off on October 3.
The 20-year-old was speaking ahead of the upcoming Copa Libertadores final on Thursday, which many believed would be his last game in his native Brazil before making a move.
Bernard, though, is keeping his options open and won't rule out extending his time in Brazil.
"If it's my last game [for Atletico Mineiro] or not, it will be one of the most important titles in my career," he told ESPN Brazil.
"Libertadores is very important for the club and for the players. I'll do my best to make fans happy as moments like that may not happen again."
Bernard would be the second Brazilian snapped up by Andre Villas-Boas this summer following the arrival of Paulinho.
