Transfer news: Mario Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola tells Sky Sports News HQ the Italy striker is happy at Liverpool
Mario Balotelli's agent has told Sky Sports News HQ the Italy striker is "happy at Liverpool" and gets on well with Brendan Rodgers.
The 23-year-old has been a revelation for Sean Dyche's Clarets this season, playing a pivotal role in a backline that conceded just 37 goals in 46 Sky Bet Championship games.
Trippier, who was named in the PFA Championship Team of the Season, has just one year remaining on the three-and-a-half-year deal he penned at Turf Moor when he joined from Manchester City in January 2012.
But he sees his long-term future in Lancashire and is relishing the chance to test himself in the Premier League.
"I'm just looking to play in the Premier League now I want to play against the best players, the best teams and better myself," Trippier told the Lancashire Telegraph. "That's my dream since I was at Manchester City.
"I'm looking forward to going to the Etihad. City let me go and I don't think I got the opportunity there, but I came here and I've enjoyed myself.
"I've been here three seasons now and been player of the year and got a promotion, so it's not been bad!
"I've always said to myself, my dad, my mum, I'll never make a better decision in my career to sign for Burnley."
On his future, Tripper added: "I've got a year left, I'm enjoying my football here, and we're in talks.
"I'm happy at Burnley, I'm 10 minutes away, close to my family and friends, so we'll see what happens."
Burnley celebrated promotion to England's top tier after winning 26 games, drawing 15 and losing just five times as they banked 93 points to finish second, eight points ahead of third-placed Derby County and nine behind champions Leicester City, who smashed through the 100-point barrier.
Trippier admits the season has been "unbelievable" considering the Clarets finished 11th in the 2012/13 campaign.
He added: "What a set of lads. You have to cherish these moments.
"Look at last year, Heats (Tom Heaton) got relegated with Bristol City and now he's part of the defence with the best record in the Championship. It's been unbelievable."
