HAZARD LIGHT FOR ARSENAL
Arsene Wenger has joined the party by declaring his interest in Lille star Eden Hazard, who has been watched more than 20 times by Chelsea.
Wenger said: "I like Eden Hazard a lot, and for many reasons. His creative ability, his talent for unbalancing opponents, his vision of the game, and his consummate skill in making the final pass all make him an in-demand player.
"Hazard has what it takes to play for a top-level club, and Arsenal are a top-level club."
But do Arsenal have £30m? If they're truly a top-level club, they will.
JOVETIC FANCIES ENGLAND
Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic has revealed he would relish the challenge of trying to prove himself in the Premier League. Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are all reported to have sent scouts to watch Jovetic over the weekend as they consider their transfer options for the summer.
"I am content in Italy but I'm always looking out to improve myself," he said in the Daily Star. "I have been looking out for a chance to play in the Premier League and I am prepared for that challenge."
BA BEMUSED BY EXIT TALK
Demba Ba has revealed he found rumours he could leave Newcastle in January "funny" after insisting he is happy at St James' Park.
Ba was linked with the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham - prompted by the discover of a get-out clause in his contract - but stressed he never had any intention of seeking a move away from Newcastle.
"I never talked to anyone to say I wanted to leave," said Ba. "I was just listening to people saying: 'He's going there, he's going there, he's going there' and I had a big smile on my face. It was funny to me.
"The most important thing is being happy with your football and I am happy here."
What a lovely fella. We like him lots.
