ZAHA LEADS ARSENAL SIGNINGS
Accordng to the Daily Mirror, 'Arsene Wenger is confident of winning the race to sign Crystal Palace wonderkid Wilfried Zaha'. And the Arsenal spending does not stop there - with the names of Jose Reina, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Demba Ba and Kevin Strootman also mentioned. Seriously, what are the chances?

Back to Zaha though and the suggestion from the Mirror is that Wenger is confident that 'a package in excess of £7million' will be enough to tempt Crystal Palace to sell the young England international. Will this really be enough? After all, Southampton paid that much for Jay Rodriguez.

RACE ON FOR REMY
According to The Sun: 'Arsenal and Manchester United are tracking Montpellier midfielder Remy Cabella. The £5million-rated ace, 22, is close to winning a first French cap. Club president Louis Nicollin said: "It will take a fortune for us to consider letting him leave."'

£5m doesn't sound much like a fortune to us. After all, Southampton paid £7m for Jay Rodriguez.

UNITED TARGET CROATIAN KIDS
'Sir Alex Ferguson is plotting a January transfer raid for at least two of Manchester City's top targets in a move sure to infuriate Roberto Mancini ahead of Sunday's derby,' claims the Daily Mail. And who are these top targets? Well, Alen Halilovic and Sime Vrsaljko, of course. Dry your tears, City fans.

Halilovic is only 16 but is already rated at £15m, with Dinamo's sporting director Zdravko Mamic saying: "I have seen the reports about City offering £7m for Alen, but that would not even buy his left leg."

David Gill has apparently been to Croatia and opened talks about Halilovic while also mentioning an interest in 20-year-old right back Vrsaljko. A third City target, Dinamo midfielder Mateo Kovacic, was thought to be overpriced at £10m.
