CASILLAS? VALDES? AT UNITED?
Interesting stuff in the papers this morning about the Manchester United goalkeeping situation.
The consensus in The Times and The Daily Telegraph seems to be that Sir Alex Ferguson really isn't sure about David de Gea, and is considering alternatives.
Some quite high-profile alternatives too, with the names Victor Valdes and Iker Casillas mentioned.
The Telegraph claims: 'The decision by Barcelona's Victor Valdes to reject a new contract at Barcelona will ensure that United consider the 31-year-old, while the uncertain future of Real Madrid's Iker Casillas could present Ferguson with the opportunity to recruit a goalkeeper regarded by many as the best in the world.
'Both Barcelona and Real are monitoring De Gea's situation because of persistent rumours of his unhappiness in Manchester.'
They also retain an interest in Asimir Begovic, but there are plenty at United who retain faith in De Gea, it says here.

UNITED CONFIDENT ON ZAHA
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy! More Wilfried Zaha! Just what we wanted!
Please let this saga be over soon. Either that or let the seas rise and claim us so the noise stops.
The Guardian reports that our wish could be granted quite soon, with United apparently 'confident' of signing the Crystal Palace winger after negotiations that have lasted since some time in the 1940s.
The paper claims United reckon a deal will be reached by the end of the week, with Sir Alex Ferguson staying at home while his players enjoy a jolly warm-weather training trip to Dubai in order to wrap up the transfer.
We say transfer - United will actually sign him for something like £12million, then loan him back to Palace for the rest of the season.
ARSENAL IN FOR WANYAMA
Although The Independent now has a circulation that barely qualifies it as a newspaper, more a niche pamphlet, the paper still has the odd transfer story.
And their story this morning is that Arsenal are set to make a move for Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama, after impressing Arsene Wenger.
The paper claims: 'The Frenchman is concerned by an imbalance in Arsenal's midfield caused by Alex Song's summer sale to Barcelona and is weighing up a bid for a more physically imposing figure than Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshere or Aaron Ramsey.'
However, he would cost something like £10million, so a cheaper alternative (always likely with Arsenal) is Mohamed Diame.
