THIS AGAIN...
You tend to get a bit suspicious when more or less the same story appears in two different newspapers. Not that the papers are wrong - rather that they're right, and they're right for a reason.

And that reason is the club in question wants the information in those stories out there for their own gains.

So in a week when Arsenal have been spanked twice, we present the following stories from the Thursday morning papers.

The Daily Mail reports that Arsene Wenger 'will be assured' that the Arsenal board are behind him and want him to continue next season, and what's more they will give him a big pot of cash to spend.

And who will he spend it on? The paper reports: 'The Arsenal boss has targeted Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic, Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina, Borussia Dortmund attacker Mario Gotze and midfielders Victor Wanyama of Celtic and Toulouse's Etienne Capoue.'

The Mail also reckons that Wenger has sent scouts to watch defenders Maxime Gonalons (great name) of Lyon and Torino's Angelo Ogbonna.

Meanwhile, The Daily Mirror reports that Wenger will be given a £70million 'war chest', and curiously name the same players mentioned in The Mail as potential targets.

We're saying nothing. Other than all that stuff we've just said.

UNITED & CHELSEA IN FOR SON
Quick one about Hamburg striker Heung-min Son, who could be on his way to these shores.

The Korean's agent Thies Bliemeister reckons quite a few clubs want his man. He said:

"Inter Milan's emissaries saw a couple of his matches, but so far I have not had any contact with the Italian club's officials.

"A transfer in the next summer? He has signed a new contract with Hamburg SV extending it for one year, but there have been many offers for him as from Manchester United and Chelsea."

CITY IN FOR NAVAS AND REUS
The Daily Star reports this morning that Txiki Begiristain and Manchester City are set to add to their wide options this summer, and have a couple of men in mind.

They report that City are keen on Sevilla's Jesus Navas and Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus, but also state that Reus was put off a move to City when he joined Dortmund. They don't mention Navas's chronic homesickness, which could be an issue.

They also claim: 'Napoli striker Edinson Cavani, Malaga playmaker Isco, Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama and Derby's teen starlet Will Hughes are also Etihad targets. To help fund their summer spending spree City will try and offload Edin Dzeko, Samir Nasri and Scott Sinclair.'

FALCAO HAPPY TO STAY
In case you missed it on Wednesday, here's word from Radamel Falcao on his future:

"I have a contract with Atletico for three more years, therefore, that's the best option.

"As a group we have the clear goal of qualifying for the Champions League. If we maintain the same level that we have showed, we will achieve our objectives.

"We are not thinking about either [Real] Madrid or Barcelona, we are focusing on what we can give and on our objectives."

AND THE REST...
Chelsea's Demba Ba, 27, is open to the club bringing in another striker in the summer and said it will bring the best out of him...Gabby Agbonlahor has told fellow Aston Villa frontman Christian Benteke that he is too good to join Arsenal or Spurs...Manchester United are monitoring Ecuador defender Frickson Erazo who plays in his home country for Barcelona SC...Legend Pele has urged Brazil star Neymar to snub Manchester City and join Barcelona instead...Midfielder Joey Barton, on loan at Marseille, does not expect to return to QPR but admits he misses the Premier League...Bolton striker David Ngog is due for talks with Dynamo Kiev about a surprise £3.5m move...West Ham's Frederic Piquionne is trying to earn a move to the MLS after going on trial with the Portland Timbers...Charlton are set to sign Spurs striker Jonathan Obika on loan until the end of the season - for what will be his ninth loan move in four years.

Hincey, you're still not getting it are you? I didn't say it was a leak is said "leak"; the inverted comma's are there to suggest that it was contrived to make Arsenal fans think the club were going to spend a lot of money on big name players. At no point did I suggest that it was true.
