CITY MAKE THEIR CHOICE
Word around this chilly Sunday is that Manchester City are making plans for the summer, and a central part of those plans is a new centre-forward.

And according to The Sunday Telegraph, they have settled on Edinson Cavani, after conceding that Radamel Falcao will go to either Chelsea or Real Madrid.

They're also keen on Neymar apparently, but that might be a pipe dream, and the following paragraph from the paper's report is interesting:

'City want to sell striker Edin Dzeko who is likely to return to the Bundesliga although there has been some tentative interest from Tottenham Hotspur. City also want Joleon Lescott to leave and he could, potentially, form part of a player-plus-cash deal to try and sign Everton's Marouane Fellaini.'

SPEAKING OF FELLAINI...
It seems he's keen on Chelsea, rather than City.

The Sunday Mirror quotes him as saying: "Am I interested in Chelsea? It's normal, right? I've never played in the Champions League!

"I'm happy here, I know everyone, I get along with my team-mates. It's my home. On the other hand, I also want to take the next step. Fate will decide.

"Everton paid £20million and do not want to sell me for nothing.

"If a big club wants me, they will have to pay the price."

REAL WANT HERNANDEZ
Here's a story that comes around every month or so.

The Sunday Mirror reports that Real Madrid are looking at Javier Hernandez, and the wee man might be open to a move to Spain, apparently.

The paper reports: 'The Mexican striker feels he does not play enough big games for the Premier League leaders, with Sir Alex Ferguson regarding Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney as his top strikers.'

That feeling might grow if they also sign Robert Lewandowski in the summer.

QUEUE FORMS FOR PACKAGE DEAL
Interesting line in The Sunday Mirror, who claim that several Premier League clubs are looking at a couple of Feyenoord defenders.

Apparently Spurs, Everton and Liverpool are looking at Stefan de Vrij and Bruno Martins Indi, a couple of centre-backs recently capped by Holland.

And De Vrij is quoted as saying: "I want to see what is happening now.

"I will focus on playing for the club and for Holland, but I won't sit down with the club now about a new contract."

Hernandez? No way, Even after Real game Ferguson won't sale Welbeck, United should not be bothering about another striker, They need to find a player in the mould of Carrick who can pass the ball and keep opposition in watch, not necessarily a hardman but one who can break up play and sit in front of defense
