@ Benge Er not sure what "if" poem you have maybe a northern edition but you'll be a man my son not in my knowing of it. If you can dream¿and not make dreams your master; If you can think¿and not make thoughts your aim is how it goes

@hincey to paraphrase Rudyard Kipling If you can dream - and not make dreams your master you'll be a man my son.... There's nothing wrong with dreams on a fictional gossip column pal

No bale would be a terrible choice. In comparisson to ronaldo anyway. At 28 I do not see ronaldo slowing down.Does anyone? He's lost none of his pace power and strength.Ok he doesn't do as many tricks but at what, the expense of getting 40+ goals every season. We're talking about a player who if he did lose his pace would still offer a big aerial threat great positioning, great passing and can shoot (and potentially score) from anywhere within the oppositions half.Ronaldo will be offering world class performances well in to his 30's.He keeps himself in phenomenal shape and knows how to look after himself. He'll be going strong for many more years and I do hope man utd. get him back destroying the the premier league with van persie and rooney.2 years down the road with the youth getting more experience and becoming the players they are going to be (rafael, jones, smalling, welbeck(maybe if he starts getting 20 plus a season) This could be the most devestating team in europe or even the world.

Was this sale merely a ploy to keep him happy and then bring him back when he's at his best, with no intention of spending the money? If so, it's a work of genius. If we can pick up Bale (and trade in Nani and Valencia) we will be in for some exciting times! Maybe a little punt on Wilshere too? Ok, i know, i'm being greedy.
