JOSE AND ROMAN: STAYING DIVORCED?
'Roman Abramovich is hesitating over whether to bring back Jose Mourinho as Chelsea manager this summer because he fears the same old arguments will rip the club apart,' says the Daily Express, which sounds less like football news and more like a very good reason never to get back with your ex-girlfriend.

A source close to Abramovich said: "Roman is not sure of Jose, because of the history between the two of them and what happened before. He is worried that the same things could happen again. He's still making up his mind."

It seems that Mourinho is top of the wanted list but the Express also mentions Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini, Everton chief David Moyes, Swansea's Michael Laudrup and former Chelsea heroes Gus Poyet and Gianfranco Zola. They've basically just looked at the betting, haven't they?

NEW DEAL FOR EVRA
A year ago this would have looked like folly but now it seems simply common sense to give Patrice Evra a new deal and stop him leaving for nothing at the end of next season. The Sun says that United are 'also keen to insert a rolling 12-month annual review to bring him in line with the rest of their 30-somethings'.

And so they should. He has certainly seemed to stop the rot after the arrival of competition (ahem) in the form of Alex Buttner.

BRUNO FOR SPURS?
Ooh, a new name. The Daily Mail claims that 'Tottenham are interested in Feyenoord defender Bruno Martins Indi. The 21-year-old has been watched by club scouts and is valued at around £5.5million'. The Portuguese-born Dutch international can apparently operate at both centre-back and left-back.

He's scored two goals in seven appearances for Holland, you know. Or at least that's what it says on Wikipedia.

AND THE REST
Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong, 21, is line for a free transfer switch to London rivals Fulham...West Ham co-owner David Gold will not confirm whether Sam Allardyce will be in charge at Upton Park next season...West Ham have joined Aston Villa and Everton in scouting Heerenveen striker Alfred Finnbogason - a 24-year-old Iceland international - who has scored 19 goals in 22 games in Holland this season...Wolves are facing a financial nightmare and the prospect of a £25m wage bill if they are relegated from the Championship to League One...Manchester United are poised to open talks with Leicester City over a £1.5m deal for striker Jeffrey Schlupp.

"but the Express also mentions Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini, Everton chief David Moyes, Swansea's Michael Laudrup and former Chelsea heroes Gus Poyet and Gianfranco Zola" Or all the above over the next 18 months, one after the other. Then they can make a start on sacking all the N's and O's, and successfully get through the alphabet by the end of 2014.
