ROONEY FUTURE 'LOOOKS BLEAK'
This is in quite a few of the papers, so we'll sum it up in one quick sentence:
Wayne Rooney was dropped last night, which means he might be sold in the summer, so say a group of journalists speculating on a reasonably understandable tactical decision.

ARSENAL IN FOR WILLIAMS
Well. This is interesting.
The Guardian reports that Arsenal, having spotted that their defence perhaps isn't what it could be, have targeted the man they want to fix it - and his name is Ashley Williams.
The paper claims: 'Wenger has identified the Wales captain as someone with the leadership qualities to control and organise Arsenal's defence the way it was when the club built a large part of their success on having dominant figures such as Tony Adams, Martin Keown or Steve Bould in the heart of their back four.'
However, they will have to duke it out with Liverpool for Williams's signature. Arsenal will of course have a slight advantage over Liverpool, with the carrot of Europa League participation to dangle in front of Williams.
NICKY B BACK TO ARSENAL
More bad news for Gooners, and The Daily Mirror reports that Arsenal are set to get an international striker from a top European club.
Unfortunately, that man is called Nicklas Bendtner.
The Mirror reports that Juventus are set to send the thirsty Dane back to London after his 'drink-drive shame.'
The paper claims: 'The Gunners striker, on loan at the Italian giants, has been fined £97,000 and had his driving licence banned for three years after admitting to the offence.
'Now he must wait to find out whether Juve will punish him even further by sending him back to the Emirates where he will find himself in limbo as he is surplus to requirements.'
WEST HAM WON'T TAKE UP CARROLL OPTION
Now, we thought that Andy Carroll's permanent transfer to West Ham was basically set in stone, with the big tree set to become a Hammer just as long as they stayed up.
Not so, according to The Sun, who advise Liverpool to stop counting that £17million and see if they can't find a place for the big man.
The paper claims West Ham have 'decided the England striker has not done enough to clinch a permanent £17million switch and justify wages of £84,000 a week.'
They will instead turn to the cheaper and older option of Rickie Lambert.
What now for Carroll? Not wanted at West Ham, not wanted at Liverpool. Poor old tree.
In other news, The Daily Mail reports that Liverpool have given a trial to 'non-league sensation' Daniel Carr, who has scored 23 goals in 23 games for Dulwich Hamlet this season.
