Where do these rumors about Wayne Rooney come from?? Once more the British press are on a mission to hype up their own players,Sir Alex has confirmed that he will be there next season so why are the papers still making up all these stories? lets be serious here what value is Rooney going to add to Barcelona or Bayern? if they wanted him he already be gone.Now there is a quest by the media once more to rob Suarez of the PFA award because according to them he is not a "gentleman" and Gareth Bale is.There are so many good players in the Prem but its Rooney this Rooney that!

@spammo: The problem with Bale moving would be the ridiculous fee that Tottenham would, no doubt, demand. Would he really want to go to PSG, Anzhi, Chelsea or City? I can't see United, Madrid, Barcelona or Yeovil shelling out the required dough, to be honest.

If Ronaldo stays another year he is closer to the end of his contract which lowers his asking price and makes him affordable to more clubs. At the moment there's only England's El Plastico combo and PSG who can afford him.

@jim de ville - agree totally, most likely outcome is all three still at the same club in 6 months time. Albeit I guess Bale might be an outside bet in the (unlikely) event that Spurs dont qualify for Champions league footie next year
