@onstandby - A Hughes overspend! What about Dzeko and Balotelli, Nasri, etc etc. Euroflop has spent more money on players ('assets') than Forbes values the club at. Answer Euroflop is the liability here!

This quote is hilarious: Jovetic is apparently valued by Fiorentina at around £20million, but Wenger 'who has a £70million transfer budget, is willing to go over Fiorentina's valuation to land Jovetic.' Not only is it iffy because Wenger doesn't pay more than he thinks a player is worth, but no-one pays more for a player than the selling club wants, except maybe Peter Risdale. Wenger: We'd like to buy Jovetic please. Fiorentina: We won't sell him for less than £20m W: Hmm, will you take $25m F: What? W: OK, make it $32 if you insist
