HOW MUCH FOR BALE?
Just the £70m, according to the Daily Star Sunday. They claim that United 'made a top-level inquiry for Bale' and were told that was the asking price. Spurs are seemingly determined to keep the Welshman unless silly money is on the table and will give him a pay rise this summer from £90,000 a week to £150,000 a week.

'United have also been examining the possibility of an Old Trafford return for Cristiano Ronaldo, sold to Real Madrid for a world-record £80m,' says the report. 'But United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted that the financial implications make that an unlikely scenario, too.'

ANDERSON OUT
United could raise three or four quid towards that Bale move if they sell Anderson. According to the Sunday Mirror he will lead a mini-exodus this summer. They claim that 'a return to Portugal is likely for Anderson', who will not be the only player to exit in the summer.

They claim: 'Nani continues to refuse to sign a new contract and, with just over a year left on his current deal, United will not want the Portuguese winger to leave for nothing in 2014. Dutch defender Alexander Buttner and Danish keeper Anders Lindegaard are also coming under scrutiny.'

HIGUAIN AND FALCAO IN, AGUERO AND DZEKO OUT
It could be all change at the Etihad this summer with Manchester City apparently believing that they lead the £52m race to sign Radamel Falcao from Atletico Madrid. Real have apparently dropped out of the running and will instead target City striker Sergio Aguero, who is described as 'unsettled' at City by the Sunday People.

There's a fair bit of 2 + 2 stuff going on here as Dzeko is linked with a move to Atletico as Falcao's replacement and Gonzalo Higuain is linked with a move to City in a massive striker merry-go-round. The People make one pretty bold claim - that 'a meeting took place in Madrid last week between representatives of Aguero and Real'.

In a separate story, the People claim that 'Manchester City are planning a £50million double bid for Borussia Dortmund duo Marco Reus and Ilkay Gundogan in the summer'. This is all adding up to an awful lot of money.

NASRI OUT
We would ever describe playing for the Premier League champions for over £100,000 a week as a 'nightmare' but The Sun on Sunday have no such qualms and they claim that Samir Nasri is on the verge of ending his own particular bad dream at Manchester City with a move to Paris St-Germain.

'Officials from the club's owner, Qatar Sports Investments, are understood to have contacted the 25-year-old's father Abdelhamid,' says The Sun. 'And the mega-rich Paris outfit will offer City the chance to recoup their outlay on Nasri, who is under contract until 2015.'
