VORM FOR ARSENAL
'Arsenal are ready to make Swansea an offer for their highly-rated goalkeeper Michel Vorm to finally solve their problems between the sticks,' according to the Metro. And yes we know. We don't like to resort to the Metro but it's a Monday and there's bugger all else around on a Monday.

Lukasz Fabianski has replaced Wojciech Szczesny in recent games but he is apparently not seen as a long-term option, unlike Vorm, who has also been linked with Barcelona and Manchester united. Pepe Reina is once again mentioned but his upturn in form means that Liverpool may not be too willing to sell.

WILLIAMS IN, MERTESACKER OUT
We may have believed this one last week after the Tottenham debacle but Per Mertesacker has looked rather more accomplished in his last two games for Arsenal. But the Daily Express claims that Bundesliga side Wolfsburg are interested in the BFG and he could be replaced at the Emirates by Ashley Williams.

ASHLEY WATCHES STRIKER
'Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley was in the stands last night to carry out a watching brief of transfer target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang,' according to the Newcastle Chronicle. They claim that Ashley was spotted in the stands along with chief scout Graham Carr.

Aubameyang - who has scored 16 in 27 for Saint-Etienne this season - has also been linked with Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool but it is thought that he was impressed with Ashley's effort to see him play in person.

BIG MONEY FOR COURTOIS
He has not played a minute for Chelsea and yet his asking price is apparently £17m. The Daily Star claims that 'Atletico boss Diego Simeone wants to sign Courtois permanently - but has been quoted an eye-watering asking price'. The Belgian stopper has been an unqualified success in his two loan spells with the La Liga club.
