CECH IN AT ARSENAL?
This is a big shout from the Daily Mail, who claim that 'Petr Cech is the surprise name on Arsenal's six-man shortlist to replace goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny next season'. There's a theory here that Thibault Courtois will replace Cech at Chelsea next season and that he will move across London to Arsenal. Now that would be exciting. And almost entirely implausible.

Pepe Reina, Asmir Begovic, Victor Valdes, Rene Adler and Michel Vorm are the other names on the Daily Mail's version of the shortlist, though we suspect that reports in the Daily Telegraph that Begovic's asking price is in the £15m bracket could see his name knocked off the list.

WANYAMA FOR LIVERPOOL?
Exactly that. Victor Wanyama is apparently one of four players that Liverpool want to buy this summer. The Celtic midfielder is expected to head south this summer for £10m and the Daily Mail claims that Liverpool are interested along with both Manchester clubs, Arsenal, Everton and Sunderland.

'Liverpool want four new players in the summer but are also likely to offload some of their big earners to help offset the cost and lower their wage bill,' continues the report. When they say 'big eaerners', do they basically mean everybody brought in by Kenny Dalglish.

NAPOLI LOOK FOR NUTTER
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has put a £60million price-tag on Manchester City target Edinson Cavani.

But De Laurentiis insists the 26-year-old will not be leaving Napoli unless the club receives a huge bid for the player.

"We included a very high buy-out clause in his contract as we want him to stay," said De Laurentiis, quoted in The Sun. "But if some nutter is willing to pay £60m, which would mean a net fee of £54m for Napoli, we are ready to listen to the offer."
