EL SHAARAWY TO CHELSEA, NO CAVANI YET
Now this would be interesting.
The Daily Express reports that Chelsea have put AC Milan's brilliant young forward Stephan El Shaarawy on their wanted list for the summmer.
Quite why Milan would let him go for anything but the toppest of top dollar is unclear, but the paper reckons Chelsea could get him for about £30million. Which, given the prices for some of the other top forwards being bandied around, would seem like a good price.
Meanwhile, despite reports in Spain claiming that Edinson Cavani is basically already a Chelsea player, The Independent claims that Napoli have rejected a bid of £42.8million plus Fernando Torres for the big Uruguayan, as they're holding out for the full £54million.
AND FOR ROONEY TOO
Also, The Daily Telegraph reports that Chelsea are also in for Wayne Rooney. Busy boys.
The paper claims: 'Although several clubs have been tracking the unsettled England striker, it is understood that Rooney is most attracted by the prospect of joining Jose Mourinho, a coach he has long admired, at Stamford Bridge.
'United have maintained their stance that Rooney would not be allowed to leave for another English club, but a planned massive bid from Roman Abramovich may prompt the player to break the impasse and seek a move to the capital.'
Arsenal and Paris St-Germain are the other interested parties, it seems.
BAYERN KEEN ON LUIZ
Interesting/2+2 stuff from The Daily Mail.
They claim Bayern Munich are sniffing around David Luiz, and could make a bid pretty soon.
The paper reports: 'Pep Guardiola is a long-term admirer of the Brazil defender, who is also attracting interest from Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.'
Also: 'Barcelona prefer the idea of signing another Brazilian, Thiago Silva from PSG, which would strengthen the desire of the French champions to acquire Luiz, who is unsure where he stands in Jose Mourinho's plans.'
This could get complicated.
SWANS IN FOR SHELVEY
It seems Jonjo Shelvey is a wanted man.
As well as talk that Crystal Palace are keen, Swansea have declared their interest too.
"There is an interest there and we are talking to Liverpool," Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins said.
SPURS WANT SOLDADO
Quick one from The Daily Star, who report that Spurs have made a bid for Valencia forward Roberto Soldado. Specifically, a £17million bid.
The paper claims: 'The 28-year-old Valencia star is under contract until 2017 and has a release clause of £26m.
'But Spurs are confident they can get him for less as the Spanish club have financial problems.'
Meanwhile, Emmanuel Adebayor could be about to swap Tottenham for Turkey, with Besiktas lining up a '£5million swoop', according to The Sun.
