Liverpool to pay Luis Suarez £200k a week, Mata to PSG and Pastore to Liverpool/Arsenal and Reus to United...
UNITED IN FOR MODRIC
And so, David Moyes moves down the list.
After losing out on Thiago Alcantara and seemingly Cesc Fabregas, Manchester United have apparently shifted their attentions to one Luka Modric to fill the creative void in their midfield.
The Times reports that United are planning a £25million bid for the Real Madrid man, but still haven't given up on Fabregas.
The paper isn't certain at all about whether Modric would be up for the move, or indeed whether Real will accept the offer. Apparently much of that depends on whether or not they get Gareth Bale. Speaking of which...
BALE ON HIS WAY?
The Daily Mail reports that Spurs and Daniel Levy will 'reluctantly bow' to Bale's demands to leave Spurs, but only if he gets the toppest of dollar.
Which is not exactly a huge departure from the way Levy usually does things, we guess.
The paper reckons Levy will take £85million plus a player for Bale. Oh, and he wants the money up front.
Quite the stance.
The Mail claims: 'But Real Madrid want to structure the Bale deal so that they pay a sizeable chunk up front, and stagger the rest of the fee over the course of his contract.
'Portugal defender Fabio Coentrao, who kept Brazilian left back Marcelo out of the team at Real Madrid, and Argentina winger Angel di Maria are being offered as part of the package.'
NO INCREASED BID FOR SUAREZ
Quick line from The Daily Mirror, who report that Arsenal aren't exactly going to push the envelope for Luis Suarez.
The paper claims Arsene Wenger will not go a penny above £40,000,001, in news that will sound depressingly familiar to Gooners everywhere.
The Mirror says: 'The whole deal hinges on the £40m clause in Suarez's contract with the Uruguayan's advisers adamant that it allows him to leave Liverpool.
'Suarez is keen on Arsenal and wants to speak to them about a potential transfer but it is believed he still harbours hopes that Real Madrid will come in despite their declaration that they are not interested.
'Arsenal have been made aware of the clause and the deal is now at standstill - and it could go right to the end of the transfer window with the two clubs set for a major squabble.
'Liverpool are adamant that they will not sell to Arsenal and the clause only means they are obliged to inform Suarez that an offer has been made.'
GOOD NEWS GOONERS
There is some good news for Gooners elsewhere though.
The Times reports that Nicklas Bendtner is set to join Spanish side Malaga, while Gervinho is wanted by Roma.
So some of that deadwood is being cleared to make room for...oh. That's right. Oh.
CHICHARITO TO VALENCIA?
Interesting wee line in The Daily Mirror, who report that Valencia have the man in mind they want to replace Roberto Soldado.
The paper claims that man is Javier Hernandez, and that the Mexican could be tempted by the proposition.
The Mirror says: 'United will try to convince Hernandez to stay but Valencia might appeal as it would give him more games and the Spanish club want to do a cut-price deal after agreeing a £25million deal with Spurs for Soldado.'
JOSE WANTS KHEDIRA/DE ROSSI
Quickie from The Daily Mirror, who report that Chelsea want a new midfielder, and they want one bad.
And the names they want so bad are Sami Khedira, apparently surplus to requirements at Real Madrid, and Daniele De Rossi, who is also a target for Fiorentina.
So there you go.
