Ashley Young and Anderson first out in January, Falcao for Chelsea and Lassana Diarra for Arsenal or City...
ARSENAL IN FOR MICHU
Ah, more Arsenal/striker stuff. Good.
We'll kick off with word in The Independent that Arsene Wenger is looking to 'unravel his Plan B' by making a move for Michu.
According to the paper, Arsenal will have to pay £25million for the Spaniard, who Swansea signed for £2million (dunno if anyone's mentioned that) a year ago.
The Indy reports: 'Swansea manager Michael Laudrup is reportedly still looking for forward signings after capturing Wilfried Bony for £12million in the summer, and may opt to cash in now to invest in the squad rather than risk his valuation dropping next summer.'
The paper also claims that Wenger is keen on Manchester City defender Micah Richards, but concedes they may face a struggle persuading City to sell.
WILLIAN IT WAS REALLY NOTHING
Interesting stuff from a few papers this morning, with reports rife that Spurs are all set to gazump Liverpool for Anzhi forward Willian.
According to The Daily Mirror: 'The Reds have already agreed terms with the 25-year-old, who has been put up for sale by cost-cutting Russians Anzhi Makhachkala, and had been confident of completing the deal.
'But the two clubs have not yet agreed a fee, with Anzhi demanding £30million and Liverpool offering only £26m. Spurs have now indicated to the Russians that they are ready to improve on the Anfield giants' bid.'
Cue assorted nonsense about Spurs stealing Liverpool's transfer targets.
MODRIC PREFERS UNITED TO SPURS
Quick one from The Daily Mirror, who report that Luka Modric will reject any move to Spurs as part of a potential Gareth Bale deal.
Instead he 'wants to become Manchester United's star summer signing'.
Hmmm. It seems he's a few names down on David Moyes' wanted list though, with United apparently still not giving up on Cesc Fabregas and Marouane Fellaini.
Apparently United have had a £28million combined bid for Fellaini and Leighton Baines rejected, which if we're taking Fellaini's buy-out clause as a base price for him, would value last season's best left-back at about £4.5million.
LIVERPOOL IN FOR SAKHO
According to The Daily Star, Liverpool are duking it out with AC Milan for PSG defender Mamadou Sakho, who handed in a transfer request last month.
The paper claims: 'Liverpool made an £8m bid for the defender earlier this month, as Brendan Rodgers looks to bolster his defensive options with uncertainty remaining over the futures of Daniel Agger and Martin Skrtel.'
Apparently Milan want a season-long loan deal with an option, but Liverpool prefer a permanent move.
